Some macOS Big Sur users who are running the 11.1 and recently released 11.2 update have been experiencing ongoing issues with externalBut if I use the USB-C cable that came with the monitor, then the USB ports on the display don't work. Out of the box mine has a strong magenta tint. I'm a wedding photographer, so I need to be able to calibrate this display soon or I'm returning it. I can't wait for LG to come out with a software update 3 months from now.

Subject says it all for the most part. I have an external USB hub connected to one on my Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports on my MacBook Air early 2020 model running Catalina 10.15.4. At random times during the day (2-3 times a day) my Logitech G602 mouse and external Apple Keyboard will stop responding completely and only a reboot will restore
Method-5: Try Using A Different USB Port On The Computer Monitor. Reconnect the USB device to a different USB port on display and try again. Make sure the port isn’t faulty if another port is working. A USB device inserted backward may break the connection, and the plastic spacer can be knocked out of the port.
1) download the driver. 2) Go offline. 3) Uninstall the graphics driver from Dev Manager. It'll fall back to some dumb default Windows display driver. 4) Install the Intel one, should then recognize the Xe graphics. 5) Watch for it to step on the driver (seen in the driver version going backward).On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Open Displays settings for me. Press and hold the Option key to make the Detect Displays button appear in place of the Night Shift button, then click Detect Displays. pretty good monitor. It is NOT 4k but 1440p quality. The USB-C connectivity works fine, no issues, the USB hub is USB 2.0, not USB 3.0. The built-in speakers are pretty loud and have acceptable sound quality for built-in speakers, but I recommend purchasing external speakers. For casual games they work well.Specifically I have a LG UHD 32 monitor connected via USB-C cable. When it wakes up from sleep the resolution is on 720p. I found a solution on developer.apple.com forum which helped me. I hope it works for you as well. System Preferences -> Display -> Color -> Calibrate -> Click through all the dialogs. driver shows up on pc, delete this. download the new firmware and copy and paste into folder where old firmware was which was just deleted (check guide on webiste for location, its firmware.bin or something) switch off, unplug monitor then back in.
I am using MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports with LG 27UK850-W monitor. This monitor has built-in speakers and it works fine with USB Type-C cable but unfortunately it is not possible to control volume from System Preferences / Sound or keyboard shortcuts. I've checked and saw some similar posts but couldn't find a solution.
