Apparently, it works but it's just really expensive. Evidently, Hack's hack job is just really expensive, as so far there's no proof it even works. Strong rumor is that APR and others are working on a supercharger for the 4.2l in the S4 that will be priced around $7k + install and will raise peak HP to around 450 BHP.
